Lonely Soldier Designs, also known as James, has been making, selling and teaching Wire Jewellery for the last 5 years.
It all started with a Sharylin Miller book called Wire Art Jewellery back in 2011.  The book got James making and twisting wire and started him on the road to making his first pendant.  He is known for his high level of technical skill in each piece, creating consistent and beautiful pieces of wire jewellery.

Design

Since then, self taught, James has been pushing the boundaries of wire pendant design, writing and creating designs for Making Jewellery Magazine, demoing at bead shows, teaching 1 to 1 workshops and being the lead tutor at the UK Wire Retreat. 
James’s studio is at The Glastonbury Wire Studio, where all his pieces are created and where he teaches his workshops.  Based in Glastonbury, surrounded by all the beauty, myth and magic of this Somerset town. ​

I came to Jim with no experience of wire wrapping at all and in 3 days he has taught, encouraged and inspired me. I shall definitely be coming back to learn more skills and techniques once I have practised and perfected the ones I have just learnt. Thank you so much Jim! Trisha - FB Review

Workshops

Workshops run by Lonely Soldier Designs are tailored to each individual student.   He aims to cram as much into each session as possible, for Lonely Soldier nothing is off limits when it comes to teaching.   Lonely wants his students to get the most out of time spent with him and also to stretch their skills to make things they never thought possible!
